You Can Now Sign Up For Weekly Minister Duties ONLINE!
We’re trying out a new system for managing our worship volunteers!

The links below will take you to a site that will allow you to choose what you’d like to volunteer for, provide the same information as on our sign-up sheets, and automatically receive a reminder the week you signed up.  With the addition of a second service, the need for volunteers is greater than ever.  I ask that you give full consideration to volunteering, even if you never have before.  Helping out with worship is a great way to feel more connected with the church and meet members you may not have engaged with in the past.  The descriptions are listed below the links in case you’re not sure what each position’s responsibilities are.  We do ask that Greeters, Ushers, and Communion Assistants arrive early, as part of their responsibilities take place before service starts.

Here is the run down of what each worship position does:

Scripture Reader:
Read scripture during worship service (this is a great way to get kids involved!)

Communion Assistant:
Prepare wine & bread prior to service and helps serve during service

Hand out bulletins prior to service, help with offering plates, help with communion, and count worship attendance for office & Synod purposes.

Greet congregation members as they arrive before worship.

Worship Assistant:
Lead the Psalm, Apostles’ Creed and Prayers of the Church

PowerPoint Assistant:
Advance the PowerPoint in time with worship service

Coffee Server:
Bring treats, serve coffee, and greet people after worship

Help count the offering and prepare bank deposit after worship

Eternal Candle:
A donation to maintain the eternal candle each week ($6 / week or $24 / month)

Website Host:
A donation to maintain the church’s website; this option is only available on the first signup for each month ($30 / month)

- Thank you for your time and being a part of our worship family!

Herald of Faith - Honduras
(RE: WELCA $1000.00 Donation; Men's Group 350.00 Donation)
Gift personally delivered by Steve Smart

Thanks so much for your gift to Herald of Faith for Maria to help young women learn to sew.  Your gift will help her get the villages to instruct girls.  It will also help a couple of "graduates" get a new sewing machine.  Your gifts go a long ways to continue helping these young ladies obtain income to support themselves and often a young family too.  Steve Smart shares that your team does a great job of helping many others.  Please keep up the great work.  May you all be blessed as you bless others.
~ Thank again, Dave

Roberts Food Pantry
(RE: 2019 Donation $152.33)

“Thank you for the “noisy” donation.  Cross Lutheran has been a great source of support for the food pantry for many years now.  It has been so very appreciated.  Thank you, and God Bless the Noise!
