Releasing Ministry Alliance’s Opps' third Zoom call featured "Holy Abundance."
Members of New England Yearly Meeting's Legacy Funds committee and a grant recipient offered brilliant accounts of the way ministry has been nurtured in myriad ways.
Video and audio recordings of this and prior calls, along with a slide show illustrating the ministries funded by the grants, are posted on the Opps webpage
These Opps provide opportunities to gather for the purpose of exploring a topic pertinent to ministry, eldering, and faith communities and feature a conversational presentation and time for discussion.
Thursday Oct 24, 2019 8-9pm Eastern time
A practice that holds great potential for supporting individuals of any faith in allowing the work of the Spirit to become manifest through them and their communities will be the focus of our October call. Marcelle Martin, Benjamin Warnke, Lynda Black, and others will share their experiences with faithfulness groups (also known as anchor groups or spiritual accountability groups). Marcelle’s newly published book on this topic is available at http://www.innerlightbooks.com/books/guide-to-faithfulness-groups.html.
Faithfulness Groups Workshop
Saturday Nov 23, 2019 10am - 4pm Eastern time
Friends Center in Philadelphia and Livestreamed, pre-registration requested
Marcelle Martin, Viv Hawkins, and a group of people experienced with faithfulness groups will present the basics needed to support each other in paying attention to the guidance of the Spirit, and forming faithfulness groups, in which the members provide mutual accompaniment over time.
This free-of-charge workshop will be livestreamed and video-recorded so it is available for people at a distance. Please register for either on-site or livestream attendance here.
If you participate via livestream or recording, we'd love you to gather a group of people at your local site and join in the interactive group activities.
This workshop is co-sponsored by Releasing Ministry Alliance, Central Philadelphia Monthly Meeting's Committee on Gifts and Leadings, and Green Street Friends Meeting's Worship and Ministry Committee. Funding for the livestream is provided by Quaker Women in Public Ministry
and its follow-on program At the Well.
