Faithfulness Group Workshop

Releasing Ministry Alliance is sponsoring a one-day workshop this Saturday Nov 23, 2019, which is available via livestream and on-site at Friends Center in Philadelphia.

Faithfulness Groups Workshop
Saturday Nov 23, 2019 10am -  4pm Eastern time
Friends Center in Philadelphia and Livestreamed, pre-registration requested

Are you interested to practice faithfulness with others? The Faithfulness Group Workshop will present the basics needed to support each other in paying attention to the guidance of the Spirit, and forming faithfulness groups, in which the members provide mutual accompaniment over time. Some see this as a shared spiritual accountability.

This free-of-charge workshop will be livestreamed and video-recorded so it is available for people at a distance. Please register for either on-site or livestream attendance here. If you participate via livestream or recording, we'd love you to gather a group of people at your local site and join in the interactive group activities.

Facilitated by Marcelle Martin, Viv Hawkins, and a group of people experienced with faithfulness groups, this workshop is co-sponsored by Releasing Ministry Alliance, Central Philadelphia Monthly Meeting's Committee on Gifts and Leadings, and Green Street Friends Meeting's Worship and Ministry Committee. Funding for the livestream is provided by Quaker Women in Public Ministry and its follow-on program At the Well.

More details on the faithfulness groups workshop and pre-registration are available at https://releasingministry.org/releasing-ministry-alliance-opps  including a recording of the October 24, 2019 one hour Opps call on this topic.

FEATURED MINISTRY

EPPCHEZ!

Our newest directory listings (still in progress) are by Eppchez and include their Off White: a performance & space for reflection about which you can learn more here. Eppchez writes, "This workshop uses songs, story telling and worship sharing to help communities already engaged in confronting systemic White Supremacy, to become more comfortable with the inherent discomfort of this work, and embrace the burdens and joys of engaging with transformation of self, and institutional structures in daily life. I use my own experiences and reflections as a White-passing person to notice how Whiteness functions in my life and invite participants into a vulnerable space of reflection around this topic that we have been so carefully taught to ignore."
