It certainly is a great time to be involved with WCA.
- The Royal Sydney Wine Awards lunch is being held 28 July at a new venue this year, while Adelaide and Melbourne Awards lunches will enjoy the existing venues
- WCA Awards will be launched 1st June and we have a very exciting new category
- A great line up of webinar speakers
- We will be providing more interesting and thought provoking state based events
- And we will be launching a new education platform among other exciting initiatives later in the year, among other new initiatives.

Winetitles reported during the week that consultation on reform of the Wine Equalisation Tax Rebate starts next week with exactly who will be eligible for the scaled back rebate high on the agenda.
In this year’s Federal Budget the government announced that the WET Rebate would be scaled back from the current $500,000, to $350,000 from July 1, 2017 and $290,000 from July 1 2018, where it would remain. Read more here.
