The 2016 Royal Adelaide Wine Show Awards Lunch is being held on Friday, 30th September at the Ridley Centre, Adelaide Showgrounds. During the lunch, WCA will announce its 2016 South Australian 'Legend of the Vine'. This prestigious award recognises an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the wine industry and helped take their message to the world.
Guests will be treated to a sumptuous three course meal accompanied by award-winning wines from the Royal Adelaide Wine Show 2016.

Sydney Italian Wine and Food Festival at the Sydney Town Hall, 21st August - taste 240 of Italy's finest (including Italian centric Aussie wines).

In each category, a short list of finalists is reviewed and selected by the panel of expert judges. A winner is then chosen in consultation with the WCA Board.
Entries close 16th September. Winners are announced and presented at a gala event, at the prestigious Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney on Tuesday, 8th November.

The Wine Industry Association (WISA) Wine Industry Impact Awards applications are closed, the gala dinner will be held, 20th October at the National Wine Centre.
Treasury Wine Estates has reported an increase of more than double in Net Profit after tax over the past twelve months, more details from the Drinks Bulletin here.
More than 11,000 people have signed up to a new version of a free online course run by the University of Adelaide. Professor Kerry Wilkinson from the University says "consumers are more interested in knowing about the wines they're drinking". More details here.
