Thank you for subscribing to 30 reflections on race and privilege. No matter how you arrived or what level of white guilt/curiosity/wine prompted your arrival, you're here. I'm grateful for that.
Our reflection series is well underway, but if you're just joining, don't worry! Below, I've added the links for each of the previous reflections to help you catch up :)
How this reflection series is gonna go down:
- Every few days, I'll pop into your inbox with a reading and reflection exercise about privilege, identity and racism.
- You'll dedicate ~30 minutes of your day to reading, writing, and reflecting on each prompt.
- You'll likely feel uncertainty, shame, and guilt. In those moments, I implore all of you to channel the strength that it takes to be Black in America. To choose the uncertainty and hope of your openness over the security and safety of your silence.
- Please feel free to share your thoughts/feelings/realizations with me as they come up. Please feel free to forward these reflections to your friends, family and coworkers.
