S3 Newsletter 2020 / #2

June/July 2020

Dear Friend,

With apologies for the delay, we are delighted to present our new S3 Newsletter, full of news and information that is (we promise) not excessively related to Covid-19.
Why the delay?  Perhaps because some members, or rather, all of the team are doing their work exceptionally well... generating a great interest in the services of S3.
We’ll go into more detail later!
Starting with our main news: the establishment of our new subsidiary: S3 UK Ltd!
Inevitably, we will devote some of the content of the newsletter to the pandemic, in particular to the strong demand for protection and detection equipment, for which the factories are mostly located in China.
We will also talk about new teaching projects, which are both very varied and interesting.
And we will continue to explain our particular 'digital revolution', which began at the end of last year, focusing now on yet another social network.
We wish you all a pleasant and informative reading of this Newsletter and a fantastic Summer break. As always, we await your news.

Warm greetings from Barcelona!

Tom Van der Heyden
Co-Founder and CEO – SGroup

S3 Group is growing:
we welcome
S3 UK Ltd!

As is often said in Asia, "crises often offer the best opportunities."
In all honesty, the current situation with Covid-19 was not the main trigger, but obviously a relevant context when we made the decision to expand S3 Group.

Covid-19 protective materials

Initially it was not our intention to be over-involved in the Covid-19 protective materials market.

New initiatives in management education

Apart from explaining how the current situation has transformed most face-to-face classes into online sessions, we have again lots of news items about business teaching at universities and business schools, in particular collaborations with ZLC, IAU, EAE, EUNCET, ESIC, BSM and IESIDE.

The ten basic rules for selling in China

We are often asked in meetings, seminars, conferences and classes: “what exactly is needed to be able to succeed on the Chinese market?”

Adrian H. Pryce DL, Director and Co-Founder of S3 UK Ltd

We don’t create a new company (or in this case a joint ventureevery day at S3 Group.
That's why we are including a little bit more information on Adrian Pryce, Director and Co-founder of S3 UK Ltd.

S3 on social media: Twitter

In our  previous Newsletters we discussed the presence of S3 Group on the Internet, with the complete renewal of the entire, website  and our return to social media, e.g. on LinkedIn and Facebook.
We continue along the same lines, focusing on the third major network for S3: Twitter!

Something entirely different...

As usual, we finish our SNewsletter with a few topics that are only loosely (or not at all) linked to the business world.
This time we continue the two lists we started in previous editions: one on the most interesting books about China and the other about major Chinese cities that are most likely not well known by the general public, although they are actually relevant for a wide variety of reasons.

Wanna read again the Newsletter we sent out three months ago?

Thought about that news item we published and that you wanted to share with a colleague?
Can't remember that picture you saw and wanted to show to your friend?
Or... simply can't get enough of it and want to read again what we published some time ago?
We know the feeling: just click on the image next to this text and... off you go!
