What dairy does to periods

More than 20 years ago I discovered something: When I stopped having dairy, I stopped having period pain. Since then, I’ve worked with thousands of patients who have discovered the same thing. Stopping dairy can dramatically improve period pain, heavy periods, endometriosis, acne, and PMS.

Stopping dairy can improve period problems, but not always. It depends on the person, and it depends on the type of dairy.

New research and findings

Research now supports the routine use of natural progesterone to prevent miscarriage

Intermittent fasting has a stronger "insulin-reducing" effect than simple calorie reduction. (That's good for reducing insulin resistance.)

The hormonal IUD is unique in that it permits ovulatory cycles. In other words, it permits real periods and natural hormone production.
