Hello there, art lovers.

Going Abstract in a Busy Season!
"Abstract Field" 24" x24" Acrylic on Canvas

When I want to paint a landscape, I struggle between painting it with the natural, realistic colors that gives the place its own unique personality, or enhancing the colors as a lens into what I "see" as an artist. So why not a bit of both?

This is one of the largest pieces I've done for some time. After a lady approached me to show some work in a local hospital, I knew I wanted to create some larger works and I've been inspired by the large abstract shapes of other modern impressionists.

Also, I wanted to try mint green in a landscape. I rarely ever use mint green and wanted to explore the use of it.

You can find time-lapse speed painting videos of the making of "Abstract Field" (lame title, I need a good one) on my YouTube Channel.
