With this we also say farewell to our Board Members whose terms have ended:

Thank you all for your dedication and service to supporting ANPR, as well as guiding the new board members as they start taking over their new roles.

Connecting ANPR with Employee Networks
ANPR would like to introduce itself to affiliate networks who may not have heard about ANPR, or would like to know more. Do you know of an NPS employee network group (either official or informal) who might like to know more about ANPR? Please drop a line to with an e-mail address or a best means of contact. We would love to introduce ourselves to affiliate or advocacy groups of cultural or ethnicity-based employee networks, students, veterans, returned Peace Corps Volunteers, and basically anyone and everyone else in the NPS, former NPS, or future NPS family.

Update on Mikah's Journey to Experience all 400+ NPS Sites
We featured Mikah’s road trip when he first started out. Read below for an update on his travels:

As a promise to keep you updated of my national park road trip's progress following your stories, I'm excited to share that after 21 months on the road, on January 17, 2018 I will be hitting park 278--exactly 2/3 through my visits to all 417 NPS sites--when I reach Alibates Flint Quarries National Monument near Amarillo, Texas.

As part of my 2/3 accomplishment, and after recently losing one of my company sponsors for doing too much to help the Park Service reach out to LGBT people, I'll be announcing my first major fundraising campaign of this journey, "$50 for 50", meant so I can hurdle my hardest, 50th state, Alaska, and see the finish line for this project.

You can preview the video--including an announcement of an exciting $10k matching grant--at:
Wishing you all a 2018 full of good scoops!

Need Extra Copies of Ranger Magazines
In an effort to use ANPR membership funds wisely, we try to print only the number of copies of Ranger magazine needed to serve members and a small number of additional recipients for legacy reasons. Please contact Chris Reinhardt at to discuss ordering additional copies in bulk. The best way to ensure that you will be able to receive the quantity of magazine copies you need is to arrange for your bulk order with Chris in advance of printing.
