Directors' Forum News & Updates

The Virtual Directors’ Forum is less than two weeks away

On Friday, October 16, 2020 – what would have been the first day of the in-person Directors’ Forum conference - the first-ever Virtual Forum will take place!

Credit union and caisses populaires Board Directors are invited to join the Executive at 10:15am EST for a special 1 hour and 45 minute virtual event, which will include a moderated panel discussion, a short networking break followed by a Q&A session, and an update from the Executive.

The panel discussion will explore the topic of “Adapting to System Challenges and Opportunities,” and Guy Hubert (FSRA), Bill Kiss (Central 1) and Korinne Collins (CCUA) will highlight how their organizations are adapting to meet the needs of the system, as well as share some insights into what Directors can and should be doing to adapt as well.

Participants will have ample time to ask questions of the panel, and share their own experiences on how they are adapting in their own roles and organizations.

Following what is sure to be an informative and dynamic session, delegates will receive a brief update including a special announcement by DF Chair, Anthony Piscitelli, and have the opportunity to participate in a fun quiz before the Virtual Forum wraps up.

Registration is open until October 16 at 9am and FREE to all system Directors. If you haven’t already done so, register today!
Explore the Importance of Open Banking

We have all heard that open banking is happening and it’s a game-changer, changing the way we interact with money and the future roles of financial institutions. Yet, amidst these assertions there remains a lot of confusion.

Join us for this scene-setting session at 4pm EST on November 10, as we take a systems-approach exploring the business challenges and solutions that will bring open banking to life. This session will lay the groundwork for future considerations as credit unions collaborate and create an ecosystem that meets future expectations and realities.

Registration is now open online.
September 28 Virtual Session Materials

If you weren’t able to join us for the first virtual session on September 28, 2020, “Inclusion and Diversity: A Governance Perspective,” the recording and materials for the session are available online. Please feel free to download and share them with your board!
The Executive Committee would like to thank all the organizations who are sponsoring the Virtual Governance series for their support and generosity. Please take a moment to learn who they are by visiting our
