Join us on April 25!

Join fellow credit union, mutual insurance and co-operative board members at an interactive session on the role of the board as champions of diversity and inclusion (D&I). We will explore the importance of D&I to business and society, identify opportunities to overcome barriers, and discuss D&I within the context of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG).

This virtual session will be facilitated by Ken Chan, ICD.D., a member of the Boards of the Directors’ Forum Co-operative, and Alterna Savings and Alterna Bank and include a presentation from Christie Stephenson, from the University of British Columbia Sauder School of Business and board member of Central 1 and Vancity. Participants will also have an opportunity to be placed in breakout rooms and share their ideas.

Fall Conference Update

The 2022 fall conference will take place from October 27 - 29, 2022 at the Hilton Mississauga Meadowvale. The Board is already hard at work planning the details of the conference, and is looking at a number of sessions that will help strengthen the governance practices of your organization. We will release the topics and agenda in the next couple of months, as well as open registration early in June, so stay tuned for details!

The Board has also decided to host the Annual General Meeting virtually in November, and following the conference. Dates and information will be available in the coming months. 

And please keep your eyes open for our new sponsorship opportunities proposal, which we will be sharing in the coming weeks - your consideration and support is greatly appreciated.

New Website in the Works!

We are excited to announce that we are in the process of developing a new corporate website! Information is still available on our current site until the new site launches in the next couple of months. We can't wait to share it with you!

New Office Hours

Please note that the Directors' Forum has new office hours: Thursdays and Fridays from 9:00am - 4:30pm EST. We appreciate all your inquiries and will do our best to get back to you in a timely manner during these days and times.
