Registration for volleyball is now CLOSED. Over the next two weeks, teams are being formed and coaches are being assigned to teams.  If you are interested in coaching volleyball at ASB please contact Dylan Pouleyor CYO Volleyball Coordinator, Emilie O’Connor.
Volleyball assessments for 7th and 8th grade girls will be held at the following times:
Monday, February 10th
7th grade girls / 7PM - 8PM
8th grade girls / 8:15PM - 9:15PM
Wednesday, February 12th
8th grade girls / 7PM - 8PM
7th grade girls / 8:15PM - 9:15PM
In 7th and 8th grade girls volleyball, the teams are split into varsity and junior varsity divisions. This requires an assessment process that allows assessors to determine the best fit for each player. In order to be eligible for the varsity team, students need to attend at least one of the assessment nights, and two would be preferred. The assessors will be looking at the skills of each student and will focus on serving, passing, setting & spiking and court play. Overall, it is low-key; we strive to create an environment that is low stress and lots of fun. Parents are not allowed in the gym to watch the assessments.

Basketball is entering its final regular season weekend.  For those teams that make the playoffs, seeding should come out some time Sunday evening after all the games have been completed. There will be a full breakdown of playoff games in next week’s Bulldog Bulletin. Please visit the CYO Team Sideline for game schedules. Good luck to all our teams as they finish up their season. Please contact CYO Basketball Coordinator, Kelley Kane, with any questions.

Registration for baseball opens Wednesday, January 29th, and will close on Wednesday, February 12th. Registration is open to all boys grades 5th through 8th and is $85. Late registration is $105 and will begin on February 13th and run through February 14th.  No registration will be accepted after February 14th. ASB School has enough equipment and uniforms to field three CYO baseball teams.  This means that one or more of the teams will be a split team of multiple grade levels. Please contact CYO Baseball Coordinator, Steve Kelly, with questions.

Faith & Service

SOCK-it to them! Share the G'LOVE'

ASB School, along with Assumption, St. Bridget, and Our Lady of the Lake Parishes, annually supports the North King County Winter Shelter. This year we are coordinating a sock and glove drive and are asking students to bring in NEW pairs of socks and gloves which will be donated to the shelter and then given to the homeless clients they serve. This small act of kindness will provide warmth and comfort to our neighbors in need. Please bring all donations to school by Wednesday, January 29th.

Free Dress Food Drive - February 3rd

Assumption Parish

Host a Mass
Assumption Parish invites representatives from groups, families, or friends, to host weekend masses at Assumption. As hosts, you and your guests would greet people as they arrive at church, take up the gifts during the Offertory, help distribute bulletins after mass, and, on Sunday mornings, continue to enjoy coffee, tea and doughnuts in the Fellowship Hall. No special skills or additional preparation is required, just arrive 15 minutes before mass begins, check in with an usher, and help demonstrate the message that ALL ARE WELCOME. For ASB families this is also a great way to fulfill a volunteer hour. Click HERE to sign up.

Spaghetti Dinner
All are welcome to join Assumption Parish’s Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday, February 8th from 6-8PM in the Assumption Fellowship Hall .  No charge for dinner, beer and wine by donation. Please click HERE to RSVP or click HERE to volunteer at the event and earn service hours.

St. Bridget Parish

Feast Day Celebration
Join us for a Feast Day Celebration of our patron saint, St. Bridget of Kildare. Enjoy an enhanced Irish themed Wine and Cheese reception on Saturday, February 1st and enhanced Coffee and Donut Hour on Sunday, February 2nd.
Teaching Mass
All are invited to a Teaching Mass on Monday, January 27th at 7pm at St. Bridget Church. We become more actively engaged in activities when we know what’s going on, which is true for the Mass! Come experience mass with a running overview of what is actually happening at different points of the mass. Celebrated by Fr. William Heric, pastor of St. Bridget, with commentary by Carla Loucks, Director of Faith Formation. For more information contact Carla Loucks
