And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
2 Corinthians 9:8

At Grammar chapel, students and teachers began by singing our new hymn of the month, “This is Our Father’s World”, which the fourth and fifth grade classes led beautifully. Fields Culver bravely volunteered to take part in Mrs. Brantley’s demonstration for her message in loving one another. She shared some of her belongings with him but chose the less desirable ones such as a chewed-on pencil, some old socks, and a cookie with a bite taken out of it! All to demonstrate how we may be sharing and showing kindness, but are we really loving each other as ourselves as Jesus commanded?

Mrs. Brantley shared the hard truth that though we are richly blessed with homes, families, friends, and more, none of us actually deserve any of these blessings. God blesses us because He is our Father who loves us. He gives good gifts to His children, well beyond what we deserve; therefore, we too ought to give good gifts to those around us. She encouraged us to look for ways to bless others and love them the way we love ourselves.

Originally due in April 2020, this junior level art project was begun before the COVID-19 shutdowns but could not be completed in the 2019-2020 school year.

The assignment was to find a piece of art that is currently kept in the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C., and reproduce it with the exception of the face, which they were to replace with their own.
However, our Juniors, now Seniors, were so ready to get back to work this year, they have called for the assignment to continue into 2020-2021 and are now completing their beautiful pieces. Mrs. Borchers says, "This project also prepares them well for their upcoming painting assignment - the Senior year VOICES project." We'll show you how they turn out in a future edition of the Herald!

Thank you!

Thank you to Joseph Stone and Tommy Olafson for building a beautiful walkway to and around one of our Grammar School gardens! We'll show you the final product of their hard work soon.
And a hearty thank you to the Goodman Family who provided two of the most beautiful charcuterie boards Heritage faculty and staff have ever laid their eyes on. Delicious!
