The natives showed us uncommon kindness; for they kindled a fire, and received us all, because of the present rain, and because of the cold.

Points: Finn Sawtelle 2, Jake Roberts 16, John Fritzsch 28, Josh Hoermann 23, Jack Henderson 4

Coach's Comments: This win clinched the district title for the Eagles. We achieved some good things in this game: we utilized our big men tonight (John Fritzsch and Jack Henderson) and floor general Josh Hoermann controlled the pace really well. Sophomore Jake Roberts came in and provided some much-needed outside shooting, connecting on four triples and finishing with sixteen points. We take our hats off to those guys over there at San Angelo; they are a tough ball club, and it was a good game until three of their starters got into foul trouble. Rory Shelton took three key charges to get them into foul trouble. These stats don’t show up in the stat sheet but we have been talking about these intangibles as they are the things we need to win ball games. Finn Sawtelle was very sound defensively in this game and kept up the pressure on the ball - more of the intangibles that we preach. We are the number one ranked team going into the playoffs, and with two district ball games left we are starting to peak at the right time.

- Coach Clarence Stewart
