Our traditional MLK Day Chapel and service projects day have been cancelled. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day will be a school holiday.
We have checked with many local non-profits and nursing homes, etc, and in the best interests of all, they have declined our assistance. Instead of coming to school for half a day and dismissing prior to lunch, we have decided to forego all projects for that day. Enjoy an extra day off!

After the Christmas holiday, Mrs. Brantley spoke about the idea of gifts at grammar school chapel. She stated that "a gift is defined as a thing willingly given to someone without payment". The best gift that we received was the gift of salvation (eternal life). We don't have to earn our Christmas gifts, and we don't earn the gift of salvation. We do not have to work for it and cannot lose it. She interviewed a couple of students on what they received for Christmas.
Mrs. Brantley displayed an empty Christmas present box to the audience. She said that even though we cannot see the gift, it is always there. She explained that God sent Jesus on Christmas as a gift to the world, and He willingly gave His life as a gift to us to save us from our sins!

Alumnae Susanna Harpold and Hannah Bray spoke at upper school chapel, imparting wisdom from their college experience so far to the audience of students. They took questions from the students about college life, faith, friendships, and changes in the college experience due to COVID.

By purchasing SCRIP cards for HEB, Walmart, and Walgreens plus thousands of other companies, a portion of your gift card purchase is rebated to Heritage School. It’s Simple:
