Yoga is the art of repetition. We practice mantras, asanas and meditation again and again because the true magic lies in the reoccurrence. Practicing yoga is like brushing your teeth. You can’t do it once and be done with it, nor can you do it enough times to perfect it and move on. Instead we repeat the physical and spiritual practices we like best to cultivate good habits, maintain their effects and deepen our understanding of ourselves. 
The act of repeating is ritualistic and ultimately our greatest teacher. Strength and optimism comes with the knowledge that there will always be a next time. This becomes your safety net for taking risks or making mistakes along the way so that when things don’t go perfectly you can be patient and kind with yourself instead feeling defeated and discouraged.
