Visitors and newcomers have a lot to explore once they discover downtown Biddeford. But it turns out, many locals aren't even aware of some of these downtown Biddeford details. Read on!

#1: You Can Shop Here!

Yes, Main Street sidewalks and lighting are speedily undergoing reconstruction. But, businesses remain open! (And would probably especially appreciate your patronage this month!)

#2: The Food is Great!

Biscuits & Company is so good, they attracted the food-review program, “Phantom Gourmet” to town to create this short video piece. 

Custom Deluxe boasts Maine's "Best New Chef"! (DownEast Magazine)

Palace Diner was named by Bon Appetit as one of the top new restaurants in the country!

Check out Portland Pie’s fall menu!

Taste delicious dishes from around the world at Que Huong, Happy Dragon, Yummy House, Wok N Roll, Jewel of India, Thai Me, May Mee, Los Tapatios, and Koi!

Find the spots that have been loved in Biddeford, in some cases for decades, (like Pizza by Alex, George's, Reilly's Bakery, Mulligans, WonderBar, Joney's Main Street Cafe, Louis Pizza, Twin City Cafe) as well as delicious newcomers like Portland Pie, Cowbell Burger Bar, Dirty Dozen Donuts, The Hamburger Shack, and Sweetcream Dairy!

There's always a chance we missed somebody, so let us know if you have a favorite that we missed in the downtown!!

#3: Entrepreneurs are Welcome!

HOB is working with downtown property owners to encourage small businesses to host "Pop Ups" in the downtown for the holidays. It looks like some great ones are already coming together after our Great Space Showcase this week!

PITCH York County
Think Tank Biddeford has secured sponsorship from Biddeford Savings Bank for a series of pitch nights for business start-ups and entrepreneurs! In cooperation with Opticliff Law, Maine Center for Entrepreneurial Development, SCORE, Heart of Biddeford and New Ventures, Think Tank will host an exciting series designed to create a spark in York County’s entrepreneurial community!
