Wow! Can you believe it is already the start of Quarter 4? As we’ve discussed with kids during our weekly morning meetings, we continue to show up every day with purpose and grit as the ISTEP, ACT end of year assessment and classroom finals are still ahead of us. Additionally, students are working to earn 100+ core value dojo points to earn a multiple day end of the year trip to Washington D.C. or Memphis. Be on the lookout for information about End of the Year Trip Parent Meetings in April.
A huge shoutout to our Quarter 3 Honor Roll students who earned a 3.0 or higher. A special shoutout to the following students who earned Cum Laude status (3.5-3.7 GPA): Araya Myhand, Adreinne Askew, Corwin Porter, Andrew Arevalo, Danielle Sipp, Mariah Dorsey. This special group earned Magna Cum Laude status (3.8-4.0): Najala Riley and Reginald Ligon. And last but not least a ton of love for our Summa Cum Laude students (4.0 and above): Ariyana Irving and Marquez Pippins.

We would be remiss if we did not thank our partners at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Indiana for their facilities support during this initiative.
Women's History Month Toiletry Drive
We set a school wide goal to collect items for the women and children of Sojourner Truth House. Indiana University Squad (120 items ) and Eastern Illinois University Squad (110 items) did a phenomenal job of bringing in toiletries, and have secured a Spring Break Sendoff. Overall, students curated 280 unique items from the organization's high needs list. Thank you to Coach Kelly, Ms. Lewis, Ms. Ringo and Ms. Hill for their leadership!
