Voting begins Friday to select Labour's Mayoral candidate. I would urge you to vote for me as the candidate who will stand up for London and win for Labour.
At the May 2016 London election our main opponent will be the Tories. To win, we should attack their planned cuts to London's services and set out an attractive alternative to improve ordinary Londoners' standard of living.
As Mayor of London I would:
campaign against Tory austerity - defend public services and welfare;
build genuinely affordable homes and oppose the selling off of social homes - driving through more social housing and rent controls;
freeze TFL transport fares for 4 years;
restore Education Maintenance Allowances across the capital;
campaign and use procurement to extend the London Living Wage;
promote trade union rights;
establish a green investment fund and take real action on climate change;
take positive action for equality for all and celebrate London's diversity.
My record shows I will speak up for Londoners and deliver real change.
I have fought to make London a better place for ordinary Londoners all my life. I opposed the Iraq War, voted against tuition fees, voted against the welfare cap in 2014 and have stood against Tory austerity.I will be equally fearless in standing up for London.
For a Mayor who fights for Londoners vote Diane Abbott number 1.
Thanks for your support. Together we will win for Labour and defend our communities against the Tory's cuts,
