ICD-10 is Here to Stay!

Effective October 1, 2015, ICD-10 diagnosis codes are required in order for CCL Labs to submit claims to third-party payers, including Medicare and Medicaid (AHCCCS), to receive reimbursement for testing performed. As a healthcare professional, you know that CCL depends upon our ordering providers to include accurate and appropriate diagnosis codes for the laboratory testing they order.

CCL will require that your practice submit ICD-10 codes with all laboratory orders beginning October 1, 2015 to ensure a smooth transition with this mandate. Lab Tests missing ICD-10 codes can create additional work for your office, create unnecessary delays and inconveniences.

Standing Orders: If your practice has Standing Orders with CCL, please log-in to Portal and edit Diagnosis codes and/or submit updated Standing Orders to our office.

Useful ICD-10 Resources:

American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) is very helpful and reliable source.
