Research Bulletin - August 2016 (Issue 8)

Raising the profile of research and showcasing the great work in Scotland is a key priority. Our annual NHS Research Scotland conference provides an invaluable platform so we are delighted to have received a record number of abstracts which are now being reviewed for placement in the programme. This issue also contains information on a range of other events promoting research, innovation, career development and patient engagement. We also highlight the work of Scottish Health Innovations Ltd (SHIL) as they relaunch www.shil.co.uk - designed to better promote their work in identifying, protecting, developing and commercialising new ideas and innovations from healthcare professionals. Included are some great examples of successful innovations and spin-out companies from NHS Scotland so be sure to take a look. As always your ideas, feedback and contributions are welcomed.
