A New BDD Forum, The Naked Truth 2021 Calendar and a New Research Project looking for participants

BDD & ME - A new online peer support forum

BDD & ME is an online peer support community for people living with Body Dysmorphic Disorder, their families, carers and anyone who wishes to learn more about BDD from those with lived experience.

Created by Shioma-lei, a Doctoral Researcher living with and researching Body Dysmorphic Disorder.

She has been working on her PhD in Psychology since 2017 and over the years, she has been fortunate enough to speak to many others with BDD across the globe as part of her research.

BDD & ME was inspired by those people who shared their stories and paved the way for open conversations about BDD.

She created BDD & ME in order to provide a healthy place for others living with BDD to share their experiences and engage with an empathetic peer support community.

The Naked Truth - Calendar 2021

Along with a group of very brave friends, Bernice Benton has produced a 'Calendar Girls' inspired 2021 calendar of their activities during Lockdown,

A mixed group of individuals aged from 23- 75, men and women , all shapes and sizes,  all dealing with their own demons, health and mental health issues have stepped outside their comfort zone and found joy, liberation and empowerment through taking the photos, and then sharing them. Some have survived potentially life threatening and life changing illnesses (both physical and mental) many have battled with body image issues.  They all want to help better people's mental well-being and promote body positivity.

For this reason they have kindly chosen the BDD Foundation as the beneficiary of the proceeds.

You can make any size donation. Every £1 is gratefully received.  However, for every £10 you donate they will reserve you one calendar (ex postage).
