Good Morning Once Again!
The bike advocacy game isn't easy, but over the last four years, we've made some pretty remarkable progress in shaping Louisville's streets to be more walkable, bikeable, and safer for all users.
Today, as we roll on with #BikeEverywhereMonth, we're asking you to support B4L.
We don't have membership tiers or benefits, per se. Instead, what we offer is results. In the last four years, over 80% of the mileage that's gone on the road originated as a B4L proposal. We can't think of a better membership perk than 50+ miles of new bike infrastructure. We hope you agree.
Since 2013, the first year the city had funding for bike lanes, we've initialized literally dozens of projects -- from bike lanes on Floyd, Ali, and Chestnut, to road diets on Hill and Jefferson, to neighborways in nearly every urban neighborhood in the city. No advocacy group in the city has impacted the shared public space of the roadway the way we have.
And we need your support to keep fighting the good fight.
There are lots of ways you can support our work:
Buy B4L hoodies, posters, and t-shirts at our Etsy store (stickers are free!)
Become a sustaining giver by donating annually to B4L: $30 | $100 | $200
At B4L, we don't lead many rides -- Louisville Bike Club does that well. We don't teach courses on bike maintenance -- Falls City Bikeworks crushes at that. And we don't host too many events. We've simply been working non-stop year after year to make it possible to #BikeEverywhere. We thank you for your support.
We've got some classic B4L gear in our Etsy shop. Get it!
