We have two great events coming up this week, and we would love for you to join us.
1) Shelby Park Two-Way Street Conversions: A Public Forum When: Wednesday, April 26, 6:00-7:30pm
Where: The St. Catherine (729 E St. Catherine Street)
Along with the Shelby Park Neighborhood Association, we're co-hosting this community meeting to discuss potential one-to-two-way conversions in Shelby Park (as well as Germantown and Smoketown). We will be chatting with representatives from Metro Public Works and Advanced Planning about the benefits of two-ways, the challenges these projects face before they can be implemented, and the funding currently available for projects such as these. We hope you'll join us!
2) First Annual Seersucker Ride When: Sunday, April 30, 1:30pm
Where: Copper & Kings Distillery (1121 E Washington Street)
Join with other dapper cyclists city as we welcome Seersucker Season to the River Cities. Break out your seersucker and linen, and give 'em a trial run the week before heading to the track. Hosted by B4L board member Chris Harrell, this is a free event organized to raise awareness for bicycle and pedestrian safety, and to create a Community Connectivity Initiative -- a means to link our urban core neighborhoods with safe urban bikeways, sidewalks, and infrastructure (www.ConnectOurCore.org)!
