In Michael Dadasovich's words, "My January Featured Artist paintings are a collection of early works, travel studies and recent paintings. Annotation tags and sketches describe the locations and other information about the artwork. I started taking art classes about twenty years ago, first in watercolor, then pastels and now am working in oil and acrylics. Much gratitude to my early workshop instructors including Peg Humphries, Robert Chapla, Susan McKenna List, Jerrold Turner, Niki Basch Davis, Randy Sexton, Tim Horn and Gregory Kondos. Art to me is an avocation and is part of many other interests and hobbies I enjoy. I think I continue to improve as an artist and spend a fair amount of time retouching or painting over works I did years ago. Thanks for stopping by the gallery and looking!"

Chris Naughton has been juried into the Pastel Society of America (PSA). The Pastel Society of America, or PSA, is the oldest pastel society in America and is largely responsible for the current renaissance of pastels in American art.
Chris will be offering two classes this Spring at ArtsBenicia on Pastel Painting. Back by popular demand will be an Introduction to Pastel Painting series, and Intermediate level classes for more advanced artists.
