the fifty hands series, No. 31 - Portrait of Clarice Lispector

No.31

Clarice was a Brazilian writer. When I read her I thought: "So this is how women see". And I wanted to see like a woman so I could write like Clarice. Later I realized not all women see like Clarice Lispector saw. Which was a relief.

She was the wonderful weirdo who wrote: "There will be a year in which there will be a month, in which there will be a week in which there will be a day in which there will be an hour in which there will be a minute in which there will be a second and in that second will be the sacred not-time of death transfigured".
