Back to School

As summer draws to a close, children around the world are preparing to return to school. Let us remember these young ones in our prayers as they begin their studies. May they be blessed in their efforts.

There are many children around the world are not able to go to school. Join us in praying for them. May the obstacles preventing them from attending school be removed so that they may gain the life-changing gift of education. Please pray for ADRA as it works hard to overcome obstacles so that every child may go to school and have a chance at a better life.

Hong Kong

Please join us in praying for the unrest in Hong Kong. We pray that a resolution will be found soon. Let us pray for those in leadership positions, that they may be blessed with wisdom, insight, and understanding. We also pray for the safety of those living Hong Kong. May peace quickly return.

We continue to pray for the Venezuelans who are still at home and those who have left their homeland in search of a more stable life. As we hear stories of the economic and social hardships they are facing, our hearts go out to them. Let us pray that their needs will be met in a timely and compassionate way. May God comfort and strengthen them as they go through this difficult time. Join us in praying for peace, stability, and prosperity to return to Venezuela so that its people may enjoy a better life.

Work for Peace

There is much strife around the world. But there are also efforts for peace. Let us pray for these efforts and for those involved in them. May they be blessed with wisdom and may their efforts be successful. Please pray for those caught in conflicts and uncertainty. As they wait for peace, may they be strengthened, comforted, and protected. May all their needs be met.

The monsoons that have hit the Rohingya refugee camps in Bangladesh have caused landslides, left thousands without shelter, and killed three people. Please pray for the survivors’ protection from the elements and illnesses as they work to rebuild shelters. May they receive the help they need in a timely manner so that lives may be saved. Please also pray that the remainder of monsoon season will spare the camps of any further disasters.

Migrant Crisis

The migrant crisis in the Mediterranean continues. A complex issue, at the heart of which are human lives. Please join us in praying for those who feel compelled to leave their countries in search of a better life for themselves and their families. May the circumstances in their homelands improve so that they may be able to remain and return. Please pray for the countries hosting these people. May peace prevail in societies and may leaders be granted wisdom and compassion.

Please continue to pray for the Ebola epidemic in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Since April, the number of cases has increased to 2,781. The death toll has reached 1,866. Please pray earnestly for the workers fighting to end this epidemic, both those in the region and those seeking a cure or a vaccine. They need strength, courage, wisdom, and protection. Please also pray for the region in which the epidemic is taking place. May the people be protected from the virus through a better understanding of its spread and prevention. May those who have contracted it receive the health care they need, and may they be given strength to fight it. Please also pray for those families who have lost loved ones to this outbreak. May God comfort them in their grief.

Silent Requests

In this broken world, many are suffering. Whether their trials are from conflicts, politics, professions, family, or health, there are many hurting hearts in need of comfort, relief, provision, and wisdom. Let’s remember these silent requests. May God draw near to each individual and work a miracle either in their circumstances or in their ability to bear them. Let each heart receive the blessings of comfort, peace, and God’s presence.
