"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
~Philippians 4:6

Thank you for praying for change this month, and having prayed together may it prompt us to continue to do more.

Typhoon Hagibis

Japan is suffering from floods and landslides following Typhoon Hagibis, its biggest storm in decades.  The death toll has risen to 74. The storm caused widespread flooding and many landslides.  Some areas are still without electricity and clean water.  Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected and we hope for a swift recovery.

Manitoba Snowstorm

Please keep the residents of southern Manitoba in your prayers as they recuperate from a major snowstorm.  20,000 people are still without power and flooding is a serious concern.  Please pray for those affected and those helping with the response.

Refugees and Stateless People

Among those most affected by uncertainty are refugees and stateless people. Let us especially remember to pray for those who are driven from their homes by violence or persecution. Let us also remember those who have fallen through the bureaucratic cracks and are thus barred from services, opportunities, and support. Please pray that these most vulnerable people will receive the care and support they desperately need. May they experience God’s love and provision through the help of others.

Thank you for your continued prayers for the Ebola crisis in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Let us thank God together for the encouraging reports coming from the responders. The number of cases per week has begun to slow down. Let us continue to pray for the people of the Congo and the responders to this epidemic. May these small signs of progress prove to be the beginning of the end to this crisis.

Praise for Proposals

Thank you so much for your continued prayers over our proposals that are being reviewed by the government for funding. We are thrilled to share that two of our proposals have been accepted! One proposal is for a development project; the other is for an emergency project. Each represents an incredible opportunity for us to share God’s love in tangible ways by meeting people’s needs. Please join us in praising God for His provision! And please pray for us as we embark on these new projects. May our work be blessed with wisdom and efficacy.
