Thank You All for a Really Great Year

We want to share our gratitude this Thanksgiving weekend for all of our friends, customers, colleagues, and supporters who made this our best year ever.  We tried to keep track this year and can say that we had over 330 folks visit the farm to see the emus, try an emu burger, or sample our products.  We really love to introduce folks to our friendly and curious birds and showcase the value emus as a viable farming alternative.  Thank you so much for all your support.
Winters in Washington bring a constant battle with mud as we strive to keep the pens dry for the emus...

Farm Happenings...

Fall is always such a busy time.  In addition to fall butchering, and getting in the last of the garden harvest we have also been busy digging trenches to try to keep the pens dry and the rainy Washington winter under control.  In addition we have been preparing for a new walk-in freezer/cooler to help store all our farm products.  A very hearty thank you to Brandon Best and Best Family Farms for expertise in getting everything running smoothly.    Next up we will soon begin preparing soap, salve and other products for the coming year.   Please let us know if you are looking for something special.

Coming Soon to a Store Near You—Emu Meat

We are very pleased to announce we will have U.S.D.A inspected emu meat for sale in 2017.   This means we will be able to offer emu to local stores and restaurants and also be able to sell emu at our local booth and ship meat out of state.  We are still working out the details, but don’t hesitate to give us a call if you are interested.  We will still offer local custom meat birds for sale in the fall for those who like to order in larger quantities.

All our emu oil is certified fully refined by the American Emu Association and each batch is tested for conformance to AEA standards.
