"The first tangible retreat from globalization in my lifetime"
Analysts around the world are still wrapping their heads around the United Kingdom's recent vote to leave the European Union. CDPR fellow Homi Kharas, who directs the Brookings Institution's Global Economy and Development program, offers his take on what this decision will mean for the global poor. He argues that as an isolated incident, it's manageable. But if we're seeing the first of continued actions against globalization, there is reason to worry.
