The "youth bulge" presents an opportunity for developing technical and vocational skills for young people in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP). For maximum impact, policymakers need to know the extent to which KP's youth - and particularly young women - are participating in the labour force. They also need to know whether the provincial economy can generate sufficient jobs. This policy brief assesses the state of youth labour and analyzes current skills development initiatives in KP. It suggests a strategy for streamlining the provision of skills keeping in view the dynamics of conflict.
