The ingredients of strong institutions
Quality service in both the private and public sectors relies on well-functioning institutions. Pakistan currently has a hostile environment for institutions to thrive, which contributes significantly to low economic and social outcomes. Turab Hussain, professor at the Lahore School of Management Sciences and CDPR fellow, recently co-wrote a book titled "Candles in the Dark", which examined nine of Pakistan's best institutions and identified the key factors that make them stand out. He breaks them down in a short video for CDPR.
