Retail Main Streets Study

The Toronto BIA Office has launched a study of the current state and future of Toronto's retail main streets to identify potential policies and programs to support small and independent businesses. Keep an eye out for resident and business surveys to be launched April 2, 2019.

Innovation Fund Stream 3

BIAs are now invited to submit proposals for the third funding stream of the BIA Innovation Fund.  The program exists to fund innovation or unique projects which push the limits of the work traditionally done by BIAs.  Deadline for Applications: Thursday, May 9, 2019.

Facade Improvement Program

Applications are now being accepted for the Commercial-Industrial Facade and Property Improvement Program.  Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Application Deadline: Thursday, May 2, 2019 or while funds last.

Collision Toronto 2019

From May 20th to 23rd Toronto will host the Collision tech conference, bringing together over 25,000 leaders from the technology community, including 450+ guest speakers, 500+ investors, and 1,000+ start-ups from over 120 countries. To learn more about Collision visit collisionconf.com.

The Liberty Village BIA presents Erin Bury, "The Blank Slate Effect: How to Use the Entrepreneurial Mindset to Win in Business", as part of the Liberty Talks Speakers Series, April 11th, 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., 3 Brewers Liberty Village, 2 Liberty Street.

Scams Target Toronto Hydro Small Business Customers

Toronto Hydro has noted a growing number of scams targeting small business customers with calls threatening immediate disconnection, fake bills and electronic transfer requests. Learn how to identify and report fraud at torontohydro.com/fraud.
