Deadline Fast Approaching:
2018 Commercial Facade Improvement Program

Funding is still available under the Commercial Facade Improvement Program.  The application form is available on the City's website.  Completed applications must be received by Thursday, May 3, 2018.

Digital Main Street to Expand Across Ontario

Launched by the City of Toronto and TABIA in the spring of 2016, Digital Main Street has helped over 5,000 main street businesses with their digital adoption. Building on this success, the program is expanding across Ontario thanks to a partnership with the Province of Ontario and OBIAA.

Music Performance Trust Fund Grant

If your event is “Free and open to the public”, a grant is available through the Music Performance Trust Fund (MPTF) to subsidize the hiring of professional musicians for performances at community and educational events in the Greater Toronto Area.  Details can be found here.

Cigarette Butt Litter

The City has launched a campaign to raise awareness around proper disposal of cigarette butts.  Posters for BIA-member businesses are available for download (11 x 17; 8.5 x 11; and social media post). Print copies are available by contacting

2018 OBIAA Awards

Toronto BIAs won three awards at the recent BIA National Conference held in Collingwood, Ontario.  Downtown Yonge BIA picked up two awards for The Walkabout and Musical Murals.  The Waterfront BIA won for its Clean Streets Team.

Green Your Roof:  Eco-Roof Incentive Program

Grants are available of $100 per square metre for green roofs and $2 to $5 per square foot for cool roofs through the City of Toronto's Eco-Roof Incentive Program.
