Unbound greetings!

It's hard to believe that after eighteen months of work, our first festival is almost upon us! We are busy making final plans for April 23 and making sure that our inaugural event is one people will remember for a long time. Our list of authors and poets is very nearly complete - you can check out the spectacular list of who's coming at the website - although we still have a few surprises up our sleeves and a few special guests to tell you about.

For example... if you've ever wondered what it's like to have a book on the New York Times bestseller list for more than forty consecutive weeks, now you can find out. We're delighted to announce that William Least Heat-Moon, author of the much-beloved Blue Highways and other wonderful travel books, will be in conversation with KFRU host David Lile at the festival. It promises to be a compelling and highly entertaining discussion, and one you won't want to miss.

In other news, we are about to embark on a marketing blitzkrieg to start spreading the word about the festival. Look out for newspaper and magazine ads and radio spots in the weeks and months to come, to say nothing of the (beautiful and very cool) banners that will be fluttering on 9th Street at the start of April. And, of course, we would love it if you would play your part by telling your friends about the festival, and making plans to attend. If you haven't already done so, please consider "liking" us on Facebook, as that is where you'll get the most up-to-date news. (We don't want to clog up your inbox too much.)

We hope to see you at Stephens College on April 23!
All the best, and happy reading –
