From the President’s Desk

I hope everyone is having a great month!  The trees and flowers are starting to bud, birds are singing, and Spring is in the air!  It’s a great time of year to be playing recorder!

Our February Zoom playing session with Phil was a lot of fun, and it was great to see several of you on that call.  The music selections were quite interesting, (I found a new favorite), and I believe we were all challenged by a couple of those pieces!  Thanks, Phil for another great Zoom.

With the recent changes in the indoor masking policy and the significantly lowered Covid cases, we are excited to announce that Phil will be back with us again this month, and that we will be in-person on Sunday, March 20 from 2:30-4:30 pm.  So pack up your recorders, grab your stand and head to Raleigh for a fun-filled playing session at St Michael’s Episcopal Church!  Thank you so much, Holly, for making this space available to us. Details are above.

Our April session will be held on April 24 at Croasdaile Village in Durham.  Thank you Marie for making those arrangements for our group! Directions and details will be posted in the next newsletter. Our April playing session will be led by Jennifer Streeter!  Make your plans now to join us that day.
