TRS- Taking a Break

April 2020 TRS UPDATE

Hi TRS supporters,

We hope that you are safe and healthy during this unusual time.

The TRS Officers met on Monday, April 13 to discuss our upcoming schedule and to approve some proposals from Jennifer.  Sadly, we decided to officially cancel all remaining TRS meetings/recital through June 2020 and pick up again in September.

We do plan to have an online meeting during our regularly scheduled meeting time on May 21.  We hope that you can join the group on Zoom that day! We will be in touch.

The May recital is always a fun highlight of our year, and we are disappointed to cancel it.  We'd like to plan some small group performance times during our fall meetings in lieu of the recital.

Early Music Opportunities- Saturday Class with Jennifer!

There are a number of live (or recordings of live) online educational presentations/classes provided by Early Music America and Amherst Early Music via Zoom.

Jennifer Streeter will be leading a recorder class through Amherst Early Music this Saturday, April 18, 2020
1:00 pm looking at Chedeville's "Il Pastor Fido."  She'll be providing continuo playing and students will be invited to play along at home.  And we'll discuss a little bit of French Baroque styling.  Classes are $25 per session.   Visit https://amherstearlymusic.org/ for more info and to register

The American Recorder Society has generously set up a fund to help recorder professionals who are losing income due to the Coronavirus crisis.  For more information or to donate to the cause, please go to https://mms.americanrecorder.org/members/wish/donation.php?orgcode=ARSO&wid=515363

TRS Workshop a big success!

Recorder for Sale:

I am interested in selling a Recorder, a Flat Dolce Moeck Alto Recorder. Pat Petersen and a recorder colleague both handled and played the recorder suggested $100-125 as a good price.

My name is Deborah Bender; bender.deborah@gmail.com is the best way to reach me. Please let me know if you need additional information or would like to purchase this instrument.
