Triangle Recorder Society

About TRS:

The Triangle Recorder Society is a group of recorder players from the Triangle area of North Carolina.  We are a proud chapter of the American Recorder Society.
We meet on the third Sunday of each month in Durham, Raleigh, or Chapel Hill. Meetings are from 2:30-5:00. $10 members, $15 non-members. All skill levels are welcome. Join us!

OCTOBER 2018 TRS UPDATE

We hope that all TRS members will be able to join us this Sunday for our October playing meeting. We will meet in Durham  at Durham County Library Southwest Regional Branch, 3605 Shannon Rd.

We will be playing from 2:30 until 5:00, and we will take a break in the middle to socialize and enjoy a light snack. Jennifer Streeter will lead. All playing levels are welcome!

It's time to renew your membership! 

We now have September to September TRS Membership renewal, so it's time to renew your Triangle Recorder Society (TRS) and American Recorder Society (ARS) memberships! No matter where you are with your playing, the ARS magazine and the TRS playing meetings will revitalize your efforts. We have extended the deadline.  Please renew by October 31, 2018 so that the treasurer can forward our renewals to the American Recorder Society all at one time. [If you are late, you will need to pay ARS individually!] You can bring your

I'm looking forward to another great year leading the enthusiastic recorder players in the Triangle!  Our new anthology includes music of women composers from a variety of eras, again compiled by our favorite Eric Haas. The anthologies will be available at our October meeting if you did not purchase one in September.  I'm excited to explore this music with you throughout this year.  Pick up those recorders and let's play!

Upcoming performances:
  • Saturday, Oct 20, 7 pm.  Raleigh Camerata: Music of Early France.
    Come experience the early French repertoire on transitional flutes, viols, recorders, and harpsichord at the low pitch with which it was conceived.

  • Sunday, Oct 28, 1:30-5 pm.  Triad Early Music Society recorder workshop.  Jennifer Streeter will be leading.  More details to follow.
