Sunday, October 15

in Chapel Hill

We hope you will join us on Sunday for a special TRS playing meeting!  This month we will meet in the Social Lounge at Carol Woods in Chapel Hill.  We will be playing from 2:30 until 4:30, and then we will take a break to socialize and enjoy a light snack before we are treated to a short concert! Jennifer Streeter will lead.  Pieces to practice are p 12-13, 38-39, 52-53, 58-59, 78-79 from your anthologies.  If you do not have an anthology, we will have extras available.

Join us for a short concert featuring TRS Music Director Jennifer Streeter and workshop favorite Anne Timberlake. The program will include a recently discovered Telemann duo, the beautiful Hotteterre first suite for 2 recorders, a rousing Bach fugue, as well as solos by each performer. The concert will begin at 4:45(ish) and will probably last 30-40 minutes. It will take place in the Carol Woods lounge and is free and open to the public so invite your friends to attend!

Address:   Carol Woods: 750 Weaver Dairy Road, Chapel Hill.

Other Upcoming Concerts:

Survey Says!

Thanks to all our TRS members for their input in this summer's music director's stipend survey. About 2/3 of our members did respond and we thank you for your consideration and vote. The vote was about evenly spread among the $120, $135, and $150 options, so the new stipend is now $135. The triangle area is very fortunate to have had such wonderful professional talent over the last almost 50 years.

Did you renew your membership?

We just started our new September to September TRS Membership renewal, so it's time to renew your Triangle Recorder Society (TRS) and American Recorder Society (ARS) memberships! No matter where you are with your playing, the ARS magazine and the TRS playing meetings will revitalize your efforts. Renewals were due by September 30, 2017 so that the treasurer could forward our renewals to the American Recorder Society all at one time. [If you are late, you will need to pay ARS individually this year!] Please contact Doug if you have questions. Visit our membership page for the form:
