July 2016

Dear <<First Name>>,

It’s a smile, it’s a kiss, it’s a sip of wine…it’s summertime! – Kenny Chesney

As we wind down a successful fundraising season and start to enjoy summer, Blossoms of Hope wants to thank all of its volunteers, sponsors, and donors for a successful spring!  We will be publishing our fall calendar soon.

Our Mission

Blossoms of Hope's mission is to plant cherry trees and other trees and shrubbery that will beautify public property in parks and local communities in Howard County, Maryland and to raise funds to be distributed to the Howard County Hospital Foundation for the Claudia Mayer/Tina Broccolino Cancer Resource Center and to other charities.
Pink Plates Thank you!
Another successful Pink Plates fundraiser is in the books!  We had over a dozen restaurants participate, raising over $6,000.  And for the 3rd year in a row, AIDA Bistro & Wine Bar keeps the coveted pink plate as the restaurant that raised the most money for Blossoms of Hope.

Paint it! Ellicott City July 8 - 11, 2016
Again, Blossoms of Hope is presenting the ‘Best Depiction of Nature Award’ at this year’s Paint It! Ellicott City.  Artists from around the region will take to the streets of Historic Ellicott City beginning July 8 to participate in the plein air paint-out event, Paint It! Ellicott City.

Power of the Purse
This year, the Power of the Purse was a record-breaker in every way! We collected over 3000 purses, many filled with fabulous items for our Silent Auction. We placed Donation Boxes in 39 area businesses, and welcomed Platinum Sponsor Harry H. Witzke’s Family Funeral Home, Inc. We also featured the addition of Carrabba’s Italian Grill, a Signature Cocktail thanks to Clever Container, and a 26-person Limo-bus, courtesy of An Extraordinar Limousine.

We are grateful to our wonderful returning Sponsors; The Sub-Zero and Wolf Showroom by Fretz, Pam Long Photography, The Iron Bridge Wine Co., The Business Monthly, DellaBlooms, The Decorating Therapist, and The Wendy Slaughter Team at RE/MAX 100.
