It's fall and the spots have been spotted! This beloved saltwater panfish of the Carolinas makes huge runs this time of year. Our fishermen are ready to bring in the "best of the best" for you and your family to enjoy!
These small but feisty fish are terrific simply scaled, gutted and pan fried or, better yet, beer battered and fried.
Like all of our fresh fish and seafood, we only stock and sell the freshest product we can find. Although spot are plentiful now, our inventory changes daily so if you need to serve a larger group of hungry diners please give us a call.
Now that it is fall isn't it time for a change of "seasoning?"

This recipe comes to us from Kim, a Motts Channel Seafood Recipe Contest runner-up. She brings a little fall inspired spin to this classic seafood treat.
Fresh Motts Channel Seafood shrimp
One 12 oz. can of beer (your choice)
2 cups apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons Old Bay Seasoning
Garlic powder (to taste)
Lemon or line juice (to taste)
Butter for melting, dipping
Start with a big pot, one beer of your choice, two cups of apple cider vinegar, and about 2 tablespoons of Old Bay. Finish filling pot with water. Bring to a boil.
Cook the shrimp for about two minutes then drain in a colander.
Melt butter, add a small amount of Old Bay and garlic powder to butter and enjoy!
You can also add either lemon or lime juice to make it even better!
