Dear Friends,

When Amy Nelson and I set out to interview Olympian Abby Wambach and her wife, bestselling author, activist, and icon to moms everywhere, Glennon Doyle, we never expected the conversation to give us goose bumps.

When Abby and Glennon joined What’s Her Story With Sam & Amy, they brought their A games. They got personal. They were truly present (in the 90 minute conversation, they never once looked at their phones or got distracted). They were all in. They made us feel like for that time, it was just the four of us. I hope that when you listen, you will feel part of the conversation too.

The impetus for launching this podcast was a constant longing to hear the stories of women who had conquered challenges and all the conflicts that come along with it. When my family and I listened to the How I Built This episode on Ben and Jerry’s this weekend, we were enthralled, but also left with questions. In an hour plus interview that spanned high school to retirement, how was it that the interviewer never asked one question about their families? It is impossible to tell a person’s full story without including their personal history, intertwined with their journey.

A new episode of What’s Her Story With Sam & Amy is going to come out each Thursday. You can subscribe here and check out a teaser below.

I hope that Abby and Glennon’s story inspires you to live your truth.
