Coming straight from round 2 of the Italian F4 championship at Misano, PREMA Powerteam has made the trip to Austria this weekend for the opening round of the ADAC Formel 4 series at Red Bull Ring. The team will enter the German-based competition on a part-time basis for 2021 to provide its drivers with a chance to further hone their racecraft and make valuable experience in a highly-competitive environment.
The venue, located close to the Styrian mountains, is a popular destination for junior single-seaters and is the home to the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Austria. Featuring a technical 4.3-kilometre layout, the Red Bull Ring is also featured in the Italian championship, with an event scheduled for next September.
PREMA Powerteam will line up with its four-driver stable. Coming from their maiden podium finishes in Europe at Misano, Sebastian Montoya (16) and Hamda Al Qubaisi (18) are looking for more quality runs. The Emirati female racer, who impressed in her first two outings of 2021, will be back at the venue where she experienced her car racing debut back in 2019.
Coming from a solid run in Italy, Russian Kirill Small (16) is looking to go back to winning ways after celebrating on the top step of the podium in the Italian season opener. On the other hand, Conrad Larusen (15) is in for a good rebound after a hand injury jeopardized his preparation for Misano leading to a challenging weekend.
