PREMA Racing score solid results in Monaco qualifying
PREMA Racing brought home positive qualifying results at Monte Carlo, running in the group-split qualifying session for the FIA Formula 2 Championship weekend. Due to the size of the track, and in an effort to provide everybody with a fair chance, the group was divided into two groups. Group A featured the even-numbered cars and Oscar Piastri, driving the #2 car, fought his way to second place.
Robert Shwartzman entered the track for the second 16-minute segment. The 21-year-old won a nail-biting battle for P1 after trading places with his contenders. Since the fastest lap time of group 1 turned out to be the best overall, Shwartzman will start Saturday's feature race from P2 on the front row. Piastri will take off from P3, right behind his teammate.
Due to the reverse grid rules, Shwartzman will start from P9 in sprint race 1, with Piastri in P8.
