Dear Brandon:

If you had come to me when I first filed for election and told me that on August 1st, the day before the Republican primary, that I would have

  1. Knocked on 10,000 doors,
  2. Raised nearly $40,000 mostly from small donors,
  3. Placed nearly 1000 yard signs, and
  4. Met people who I will remain friends with for the rest of my life,
I would have laughed. To the donors, voters, volunteers, advocacy groups, friends, and family members who have sustained me through this arduous campaign, I can’t thank you enough.

The time has come. Tomorrow, you will either vote to retain my opponent and the status quo of job losses and depleted funds for roads, schools, and hospitals, or vote for me and a fix to these ailments. Reversing the ruinous tax policy the Governor and his allies have championed will stimulate our economy by bringing back contracting jobs on our highways, raises for our teachers, higher quality healthcare for our seniors, our bond rating to go back up, and a balanced tax system for our businesses. I will work with legislators of every stripe in Topeka to FIX THIS MESS and remain accountable to you!

My opponent has made it perfectly clear he does not respect his constituents. He does not answer emails or phone calls unless they have a Wichita or Missouri area code. He regularly blocks people on Facebook who don’t agree with him. If elected, I will be a different sort of state senator. I will hold meet and greets, answer your calls, and any of my constituents will ALWAYS be welcome to visit me in the Capitol. The storm is coming to an end. The pundits won’t look at Kansas as a joke anymore. We’ll restore pride to our state and show our children and grandchildren what the golden age of Republicanism was like.
