I am excited to share I filed for re-election to the Kansas House of Representatives. It’s been my honor to represent your voice and our community under the dome and I am proud to have been able to lend my voice in enacting meaningful public policy that benefits our community and the state of Kansas as a whole. I am committed to being the best legislator possible and strive to serve with integrity and common sense.
I ran for the 42nd District in 2016 because I was very concerned with what was happening in our state. Our tax policy was causing irreparable damage to state agencies, essential public services, infrastructure, and education. The state was in crisis mode and our government was utilizing unsustainable strategies to cover shortfalls in order to provide basic services to residents. My goal was to balance the budget, pay our bills on time, adequately fund our schools, develop a tax code that would get our state back on track and increase the level of transparency in the Kansas government. We accomplished many of these goals, but there is still more to be done to ensure our state remains business competitive and an ideal place to raise a family.
Though August seems far away, I already have primary election opposition, and need your help to kick-start a successful re-election campaign to maintain common sense representation for the 42nd District. During my first-term, I demonstrated my commitment to serving you, through regular newsletters, replying to constituents via email and phone and attending numerous events taking place in our community. In turn, I asked you to share your thoughts, comments and concerns regarding issues important to you that our state is facing. Your engagement, communications, advice and testimony have been and remain to be vital in providing you with responsible representation in Topeka. Your contribution of $25, $50, $100, $250 or the maximum donation of $500 will be put to good use and much appreciated.
