Working to make Ward 5 even better

Together, we can bring Malton its fair share

Dear <<First Name>>,

It's been a busy few months since taking office on December 1, 2014. Thank you to everyone who has been in touch with questions, ideas and comments about how we can work together to make Malton an even better place to live! I invite you to get in touch with me at or 905-896-5500 - I'd be happy to hear from you!

Please share this email with your friends and ask them to sign up to receive my monthly e-newsletter to stay up-to-date with what's going on across the ward.

With thanks,

Waste Collection Changes

The Region of Peel is changing to a bi-weekly, cart-based waste collection system. Residents must select their cart sizes online by March 31.

Learn more about the changes, see the cart sizes and make your selection online here.

Torbram Underpass

Commuters between Malton and Brampton can look forward to speedier travels and fewer delays at rail crossings on Torbram Rd.

Construction of an underpass at the rail line south of Steeles Ave., is ready to begin. When complete, the road will dip below the busy train tracks, letting drivers pass without delay. Read more >>

Seniors' Bus Fares

I believe that we need to make it easier for seniors to connect with their community, family and health care providers. I want to see a reduced fare for senior transit users during off-peak hours.

Council will be considering reduced fare for seniors during the Council meeting on March 11.

Temporary Parking Permits Now Online

If you need short-term parking on a residential street, you can apply for a temporary parking permit online.

You may request up to 14 short term parking permits in a year for each address where there are no prohibited signs.
