A bridge for Goreway!

Just in the nick of time!

The land required to build the Goreway Bridge at the CNN tracks has finally been sold by the Province of Ontario. Brampton, Mississauga's partner in building the bridge, can now purchase the land needed to widen the approach to the bridge and reroute the three sets of railway tracks during construction.

The vast majority of Malton residents have been wanting this bridge for most of their adult lives, and the project is finally under way. Council approved Mississauga's share ($19.7 million) to be phased into our capita budget in 2017 - just under the wire, the Environmental Assessment done in 2007 is good for only 10 years!

I am so happy to finally see real progress after persistently prodding the provincial government on a weekly basis since my election, and truly appreciate Finance Minister Charles Sousa's support throughout the process.

Looking forward to getting traffic moving again!

Wishing you and your family the happiest of holidays.

Santa in Malton!

Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy some holiday magic at Westwood Square! Santa came to Malton on a gorgeous sleigh, pulled by two stunning horses. See pictures from the event on my website.

It wouldn't have been possible without the support of Westwood Square, Fieldgate and Tim Hortons. Thank you so much, Merry Christmas!
