The WI celebrates Pride 2020!
Each year the WI celebrates Pride and WIs around the country attend Pride marches and events. We had hoped 2020 would be bigger than ever before but we didn't let lockdown stop us from celebrating virtually! Activities included an LGBTQ+ activism quiz and an inspiring LGBTQ+ people blog. Read the summary of our Pride celebrations here.

Campaign Highlight
WI members come together to say #TheTimeIsNow to implement a green recovery from Covid-19

On Tuesday 30 June, over 100 WI members joined 13,000+ others for the first-ever virtual parliamentary lobby to tell politicians to act now in putting a healthy, green and fair recovery at the heart of plans to rebuild from Covid-19. In the photo above, WI Climate Ambassador Sue Bentley met with Derek Twigg MP and other constituents as they discussed tree planting, electric vehicle charger provision and tying the local building plan to net-zero standards.
